Cape Coral - City Site Click Here

Bordering the Gulf of Mexico, the City Of Cape Coral has more than 400 miles of waterways, with 222 miles of saltwater canals and 156 miles of freshwater. When you add the 31 miles of shoreline, Cape Coral has 409 miles of waterways. Whether it be powerboat or sailboat, we have some of the best boating in the world!

Whether you are single, married, have a family, and/or looking for a vacation home, Cape Coral has something for everyone.

We have activities year round, hosted by various clubs and organizations as well as the city and the Chamber of Commerce including art festivals, jazz concerts and block parties. A couple of my favorites are the "Red, White, and Boom" every fourth of July, and the Holiday Boat Parade where boat owners deck out their boats with holiday lights/decorations then cruise the canals.

Dreaming of beaches and palm trees?
This is a view of Cape Coral's beach located on the Caloosahatchee River. There are several other beaches to visit: Fort Myers beach offers pristine white sand, shopping, music, food, and watersports; Drive over the scenic Sanibel Causeway to visit the Sanibel and Captiva beaches, or by boat you can enjoy an uninhabited island beach.

Cape coral was built about 40 years ago by two land spectulators who believed the property's location on the Gulf Coast provided abudant sunshine, and almost endless opportunities for waterfront living. The brothers purchased the property, platted it, and then created more than 400 miles of canals. THAT'S MORE CANALS THEN VENICE, ITALY!

Cape Coral is the second largest city in the state of Florida. The city was incorporated in 1970, and its population continues to grow rapidly, in fact Cape Coral is one of the fastest growing areas in Florida. The city is the most populus city between Tampa and Miami. The two largest age groups living in Cape Coral are under 25 and over 60. The fastest growing age range group is between 18-24. Cape Coral is home to more than 138,000 residents and 4000 businesses.

One of the most attractive features of Cape Coral is the terrific year-round weather. What could be better than 335 days of bright sunshine! The city receives about 53 inches of rain a year, between the months of May through September.

Lehigh Acres - Chamber Site Click Here

Lehigh Acres is an ever changing and diverse community of approximately 50,000 residents who have exchanged their more structured lifestyles in other states, other areas in Florida and around the globe for the enviable quality of life here.

Originally planned and developed by Lehigh Corporation, this 60,000-acre community offers living to suit most any lifestyle, including singlefamily homes, condominiums, apartments, townhouses and golf course villas. The mix of retirees and young families offers a wellbalanced community of friends and neighbors.

Just 12 miles east of Ft. Myers and two-thirds of the way down the Florida peninsula; Lehigh Acres offers ponds, lakes and canals. The Gulf of Mexico is just 30 miles west, which means less than an hour to some of Florida's finest beaches at Bonita Beach, Ft. Myers Beach, Captiva and Sanibel Islands.

Lehigh Acres is situated on the highest ground in Lee County, ranging from 27 to 30 feet above sea level. Within the community, residents enjoy year round freshwater fishing, golf at five championship courses, biking, tennis, walking and numerous activities at the various clubs and organizations.

A semitropical climate may be Lehigh Acres' greatest asset. Sunny days are the rule, and temperature extremes rarely last very long. The average annual temperature is 74 degrees Fahrenheit, with summer highs in the low 90's and the winter lows in the high 40's. Sunshine warms the days from December through March. Summer showers cool the air, keep the landscape a lush green, and nourish an amazing variety of blooming plants and shrubs.

Many of the early settlers brought their best traditions with them and established new ones. They formed local chapters of national organizations, created clubs and civic groups, and built a strong sense of community spirit. In addition to a state of the art 88 bed fully accredited hospital, superior rated congregate living and nursing centers, and five modern schools, Lehigh Acres offers expanding shopping facilities, specialty shops, a number of banking institutions and top supermarkets so there's really no need to shop anywhere else. Many vacationers who explore Lehigh Acres return to settle here. The lifestyle is casual and a welcome change from the hustle and bustle of larger urban centers.
